Planning for Self Acceptance

Self-acceptance (1)This series we been talking all about self acceptance, so ask yourself, when was the last time you felt good about how you look, who you are, or even proud of your life or job? Do you love who you are? You are responsible for how you feel about you.  No excuses. Good advise aside, it doesn’t matter if mom or dad didn’t approve or thought they knew better than you did.  It doesn’t really matter if an ex-date didn’t like your hair, your paycheck, or your car. You are the only who can make the choices that will enable to you live a life you can be proud of, to take care of and maintain a body you love to live in, or even being able to think about planning the next steps in your amazing life. In the end, no one else’s opinion matters, but your own.  No one can change your life, but you. Can you accept your own authority? Can you accept your feelings? Can you accept yourself, as you are right now? Because that’s where it all starts, that’s what you need as your foundation for building a life from which you could continually feel excited and blessed. And that is what this weeks Super Secret Powers Power-ups are all about!

We spent all week asking some tough questions, but it’s time to pull out all your answers!  Coaching is different from therapy because it focuses, not on the past and how you got the way you are, but on the present and the future, where you want to go.

Forming goals around the idea of self-acceptance can be a little abstract, unless you are able to hone in one or two things you really want to make sure you give yourself permission to pursue. When making abstract goals, you will need to focus on how the end result will FEEL to you. This is who you will know which steps to take to get to your goal and how you will know when you are achieving your goal.

Use the form below to really flush out your ideas for creating a goal and plan for yourself.  Run your ideas through the SMART formula in the form. Try to be as specific as possible. Keep yourself how will you get to where you want to go and what do you need to get there, so you can flush out all the mini-steps it might take in order for you to achieve the life you want to have. Make back up plans for every step along the way, so success is virtually guaranteed! Submit the form to have a copy sent to your inbox!
